::::::May 19th, 2007:::::

As you can tell, this website is rarely updated.  It's not because Abreaction has stopped playing music but mostly because of being busy.  On the contrary, Abreaction is very much alive and well.  In some exciting news, Abreaction no longer consists of just me as Chad Waddoups is more or less a full time member playing electric guitar.  Together, we have more than enough material for another album but it's just a matter of finding the time and money to get back into the studio to record another independent album.

We are still playing many shows in Chicago, but for the most up to date listing of those checks, check out the Myspace page at http:///www.myspace.com/abreaction

We are still actively trying to find a bassist and drummer so if you live in Chicago and think you might fit the bill, e-mail me at abreaction@abreaction.net.  Actually, feel free to e-mail me if you have any questions about anything if the sparse updates on this site don't cut it for you, and I'll do my best to get back with you.  One question I've been wondering about is if mass is truly the only influence on the rotation speed of a star in the fringes of a galaxy.  If you know, please share.

Until then, thanks for reading and I hope things are going your way.

It's been a while since I last communicated with the rest of the world so I thought I'd drop a line.

Abreaction is alive and well. In fact, I've been jamming with an awesome guitarist named Chad who brings so much more to the music. We've played a few gigs together but if you live in Chicago, don't despair as we have a couple more shows lined up!

11/7/06 - The Pint - 8:30 PM CT - Nate Marsh + Abreaction + Joe Taylor

11/28/06 - Elbo Room - 8:30 PM CT - 5 Bucks

We've played many new songs so we'll see what comes out of it. We won't be in the studio anytime soon but there are literally a hundred working ideas for what's next.

Of course t-shirts and CDs are available at abreaction.net for ridiculously low prices.

I'm sure there's much more to say but I can't pin it at the moment.

Reply back, say hello and tell me what good things are happening to you!

Much love
bob

I know I do not update this page as often as I would like, but I am definitely still jamming away on the guitar.  Just last night I wrote a song that I am really digging and won't leave my head.

If you live in Chicago, please support me with a gig at the Underground Lounge at 952 W Newport.  The show starts at 9PM CT.

Finally, check out the merch page for new and LOWER prices for everything.  No more shipping charges!!

Hey everyone!

So the spring is almost upon us....I know I'm ready to get out of this hibernation :)

So, for those who use iTunes, tracks from my latest album "Beyond These Clouds" are available for download, Here's the link: http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewAlbum?playListId=65443937

As for those you actually want to hold the album, it is still available at amazon.com, abreaction.net, towerrecords.com, and cdbaby.com. If you buy the album from abreaction.net, you get a free poster and a link to download an exclusive track.

For those in Chicago, I'm also playing a show at Silvie's Lounge on Monday, 5/29/06.

Other than that, I had my wisdom teeth yanked last week, so I'm still recovering that.

It's been awhile, but rest assured I am still making music. Feel free to write me at abreaction@abreaction.net for anything you might need :)

Hey everyone!

Just wanted to drop a line since it's been a long time since I updated this site

So I have taken an extended break from picking up the guitar but I did write a couple songs last week and it seemed like some of the best stuff I've written which is kind of exciting.

The latest album is available at Amazon at http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B0008JIVTA
A review would be awesome if you liked the album!!

Some individual songs are available for purchase at iTunes and samples can be heard at http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/abreaction

I've also been asked to be included in some indie movies, have some remixes done of Abreaction songs, and have some reviews done in smaller magazines. SO bigger and better things are hopefully on the way

Don't forget to add me as a friend or shoot me a message using MySpace at http://www.myspace.com/abreaction

Always feel free to e-mail me back to drop a line.....

Hope everyone is staying warm!
Much love,
bob

::::::December 4th, 2005:::::

As the winter coldness approaches, creativity has been sparked.  I've written a few songs and am still trying to feel out what direction the next album will take.

::::::November 20th, 2005:::::

It's been a few months since the last update, but I am still playing guitar and just needed the time off to rejuvenate.  I've created a few songs but feel that the creative juice is slowly coming back.  I uploaded a file here of me playing a couple songs live in a Chicago bar early last year.

The latest album Beyond The Clouds is available at towerrecords.com, cdbaby.com, and amazon.com.

I would be forever appreciative if you were to leave a positive review at Amazon.com if you listened to the album and enjoyed it.  I am looking to play more places live but in the meantime any help from word of mouth would be awesome.

Thanks and keep warm....

::::::August 8th, 2005:::::

It's been quite some time since I have made any updates so my apologies for that. I have taken a short break from music to realize some other things in my life, but the music will come back shortly as new rhythms still endlessly loop in my mind.

Thanks to those supporting the new album.  My soul has been drained in this record with my thoughts open for all to read.  You can still send me e-mail or check out my MySpace page as I enjoy reading mail.

Enjoy the summer while it is still out there...

::::::March 26th, 2005:::::

The third album Beyond These Clouds has been released and is available on the merch page.  This has been my crowning achievement as I have spent more thought, time, and money into this release.  There is a story crafted into this album about a man coming to terms with himself.

Please let me know what you think of it if you choose to purchase it.

::::::February 20th, 2005:::::
So a quick update about the new album. It is going to be called "Beyond These Clouds" and is a story from beginning to end with 14 tracks. The album has just been sent off to be pressed and should be available for sale by mid March. I am real pleased with how this turned out as every song seems to have its own signature. For those wondering, there will still be a few acoustic tracks there..

You can listen to a couple songs at http://www.myspace.com/abreaction

Tracklisting:
1. Fading Faster | 2. Words And Lines | 3. Honesty | 4. Making The Move | 5. Every Night | 6. Circles Overlap | 7. Breaking Up | 8. Wasted | 9. So Much To Offer | 10. Beyond These Clouds | 11. Frozen Memories | 12. Jagged Cure | 13. It Kills To Be One Way | 14. Echoes Ease The Pain

If anyone is playing in Chicago and would like me to share the stage let me know...

I will likely stop selling Recovery and For All The Wrong Reasons when the new one arrives...

::::::January 15th, 2005:::::

I'm almost wrapped up with the next album, entitled Beyond These Clouds.  Im real excited about how this will turn out.  I am wrapping up getting the art work and will be sending it to NYC to be mastered.

I put two almost complete songs on MySpace (http://www.myspace.com/abreaction) and at Pure Volume (http://www.purevolume.com/abreaction).  Check it out and let me know what you think.

So I am hoping to have this album complete by March where it should be on sale on the site as well as others.  Unlike with the other two albums, I will be sending this to every venue, magazine, and record label I can think of.

Please note that all the demo songs were taken down a couple weeks ago.  Also, I might stop selling the other two albums for good.

Let me know how things in your neck of the woods are....and stay warm!

If you haven't already, you can donate to the Tsunami relief, or any charity for that matter, here.
